A Christmas Party for Diageo

Diageo is a long-standing client of Toolshed Communications. They have used our services to manage and plan a number of important projects over the years. So when they approached us to organise their Christmas party we were thrilled.

Whilst this was still an important occasion, helping to organise a celebratory event such as a Christmas party means that there aren’t really many restrictions. This means that you can engage in creative and exciting ideas.

Diageo is one of the biggest alcoholic beverage companies in the world. With a collection of global brands including Guinness, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan and Baileys, the pressure was certainly on to put on a good show.

We were responsible for planning the location, functionality, entertainment and most importantly in the case of a party, the organisation.

As the Diageo headquarters are located in Park Royal, London, it was decided that the event should take place in the capital. A theatre- like venue with a stage provided an ideal setting for a classy evening. A venue with an overlooking three-tier balcony was chosen which added to the glamorous ambience.

Seats were removed from the lower area of the venue so that guests were able to roam whilst the balconies had seating that was also open for guest use.

The stage area at the theatre was allotted to live music acts and circus performers. These acts were each carefully selected to fit in with the occasion. Put it this way, plenty of Christmas hits were played! Our experienced crew managed the lighting effects and audio.

Attendees were quick to express their delight at the party, giving great feedback for all aspects of the night. It is one that will certainly live long in our memories too.

We successfully took the worry out of the event for the organisers meaning that they could relax and enjoy the celebrations with their colleagues.
