Diageo (www.diageo.com) is the world’s leading premium drinks business. The company has a collection of global brands including Guinness, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan and Baileys.

These global brands require a high standard of marketing excellence and vision from the creative agencies that they work with in each country. The annual global competition sees the Diageo marketing leadership team recognise agencies that have delivered marketing brilliance through the year in terms of thinking, execution and client service.

The award ceremony celebrates marketing campaigns from around the world. Winners through the years have included the Johnnie Walker ‘rock giant’ TV campaign in Latin America, the launch of Snapp in Africa and the ‘scout’ Guinness media campaign, also in Africa.

When you are hosting an award ceremony for a company whose slogan is ‘celebrating life, every day, everywhere’, it goes without saying that they will be expecting a good show.

Toolshed Communications were up to the task and were pleased to be asked to manage and plan such a momentous event. We were responsible for planning the location, functionality, staging, and most importantly in the case of an awards ceremony, the organisation. With all of our efforts working together, we took the worry out of the large scale event for the organisers and resulted in a smooth running, elegant and celebratory award ceremony.
